Reports emerged the night of Monday, December 4th 2023 that a house on 800 n Burlington St belonging to James Yoo Arlington Va had exploded just moments after police warned a resident about setting off a flare gun.

According to the Associated Press, police are investigating a massive explosion at a house where officers were trying to serve a search warrant Monday.

The Arlington County Police Department said in a statement that the suspect fired several shots inside the home and that an explosion happened. 

Firefighters were working to extinguish the fire.

Multiple social media posts identified the owner of the home as Jimmy Yoo Arlington Va who had a disturbing online footprint which is completely going viral.

Jimmy Yoo Arlington Va is the suspect at the centre of a massive explosion that has rocked a house in Virginia.

Police were reportedly serving a warrant to a home in the area when an explosion took place.

In a post on X just after 8:15 p.m., the Arlington County Police Department said officers were on the scene in the 800 block of North Burlington Street investigating a suspect who had discharged a flare gun from his home.

Nearby residents took to social media to share they had heard a loud explosion around 8:30 p.m.

Later, county police confirmed in a post that as officers were entering the house, the suspect discharged several rounds inside the home before the explosion occurred.

Some officers have reported minor injuries but none have been transported to hospitals, according to police.

In the aftermath of this, the suspect at the centre of the explosion was identified online as Jimmy Yoo Arlington Virginia.

Multiple posts on Twitter said he was the owner of the property that went up in flames.

So who is James Yoo Arlington Va? 

According to online records, he is a George Mason University School of Business grad who has worked for many years in the fields of technology and security.

Jimmy Yoo Arlington Va appears to have a strong dislike of authority and the role of the United States in the world with posts on his LinkedIn, an otherwise professional network, containing many anti-US and anti-police sentiments.

In his bio on his LinkedIn page, Jimmy Yoo Arlington Va had quoted Noam Chomsky saying: “U.S. is the world’s biggest TERRORIST,” 

He had also quoted the rapper Ice Cube formerly of the NWA saying: ‘F.#.ck the Police,’

According to his LinkedIn bio, James Yoo Arlington Va has “over a decade of technology-related experience including product development, project and program management, proven leadership, and precedent-setting foresight and drive as well as over 18 years of property management experience as a private landlord,”

Jimmy Yoo Arlington Va has a broad background and skill set including direct involvement with the CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) national security review process.

Freedomvilla USA on X (@Freedomville_) wrote: “A man named James Yoo is the reported current resident of the house that exploded in Arlington. 

Yoo has been posting paranoid screeds on his Linkedin account with the most recent being a few days ago. Below is one of the posts,”

In the posts, James Yoo Arlington Va posted his suspicions that a neighbor of his residing at 846 N Burlington St and his wife are spies who are after him.

The post read: “December 1st 2023. This is my next door neighbor (at 844 N. Burlington St. Arlington VA 22203) currently known as ‘Lance Smith’ (if that is his bona fide name). He drives a white Jeep. 

“I allege and believe he and his ‘wife’ (currently known as ‘Jamie’ …) and two children (ages approximately 14 and 7) are spies. He also has a large black Labrador mix dog. I believe he attended the University of Florida,”

Yoo shared photos of these alleged spies on his LinkedIn.

He also appears to have a Youtube account where more paranoid screeds could be found.

Another post unearthed by an X user showed James Yoo Arlington Va had actually been writing to the FBI and DOJ!

“James Yoo is the name of the man that owns the house in Arlington. He’s been contacting the FBI and DOJ for a while now… how was he not already on a watch list of some sort?!” Kelly on X (@libragirl1685) also wrote and shared screenshots of these posts.

Jimmy Yoo Arlington Va had another disturbing post about the same couple, claiming they are planning an attack on him for December 7th, the anniversary of the Pearl Habor attack.

“Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ (HOLLYWOOD BULLSH*T) … Jamie/Rosemary & Lance Smith extract, copy, and examine all of my network/digital connections for signaling.

“It’s a double edge sword for their victims since everybody ‘consumes’ network/digital connections while the victim’s connections are being used against the victims.

“ESPN signaling … “MSU, aware of Smith suitors, tacked on 7th year” … ie. ‘Ms. Yoo, aware of Mr. & Mrs. Smith SU it ors, ATTACKED on the 7th’.

“Jamie/Rosemary & Lance are working with the WITCH and ALIEN to surprise attack James Yoo on December 7th 2023 … the anniversary of the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941,”

It’s obvious this was quite a disturbed individual who has now been reported as being at the centre of the Arlington explosion.

On Tuesday, police confirmed the death of Jimmy Yoo Arlington Va.

Arlington County Police Chief Andy Penn said: “Based on the preliminary investigation of the incident, we believe the resident of the home, James Yoo, 56, of Arlington, is the involved suspect,”

“The suspect was inside the residence at the time of the explosion, and he is presumed, at this point, to be deceased. Human remains have been located at the scene.”

The cause of the explosion is still unknown and under investigation.

Police in a Virginia suburb of the nation’s capital are investigating a massive explosion at a house where officers were trying to serve a search warrant Monday.

The Arlington County Police Department said in a statement that the suspect fired several shots inside the home and that an explosion happened. Firefighters were working to extinguish the fire.

The police had earlier said that they were investigating after someone fired a flare gun from the house.

A massive boom was heard in the area just after 8:20 p.m. Power was knocked out in the immediate area and flames could be seen shooting in the air from a nearby street. Stretchers were also seen near the house.

Carla Rodriguez of South Arlington said she could hear the explosion more than 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) away and came to scene, which was roped off blocks away, to see what was happening.

“I actually thought a plane exploded,” she said.

In a post on X just after 8:15 p.m., the Arlington County Police Department said officers were on the scene in the 800 block of North Burlington Street investigating a suspect who had discharged a flare gun from his home.

“POLICE ACTIVITY: ACPD is in the 800 block of N. Burlington Street investigating a suspect who has discharged a flare gun from his residence. Expect continued police activity and avoid the area,” the first post from Arlington County PD read.

“UPDATE: As officers were attempting to execute a search warrant at the residence, the suspect discharged several rounds inside the home. Subsequently, an explosion occurred at the residence and officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the explosion,”

Another update followed: “UPDATE:  @ArlingtonVaFD is on scene working to extinguish the fire at the home. Media staging is in the 800 block of N. Edison Street…: Officers on scene reported minor injuries with no one transported to the hospital. @ArlingtonVaFD continues to work to extinguish the fire,”

A final update confirmed that the fire is under control and that crews were working to battle small spot fire.

Online chatter identified the suspect at the centre of this to be James Yoo, a resident of Arlington in Virginia.
