The kidnappers of two Nollywood actors, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel have mocked the Actors Guild of Nigeria for struggling to raise the $100,000 ransom.
According to the President of the AGN, Emeka Rollas, the kidnappers laughed and mocked actors after Rollas revealed they have raised only N1.2m (approximately $2,800) out of the $100,000 ransom amount.
The kidnappers reportedly asked how much the celebrities always posting their riches on social media have contributed to the campaign.

The kidnapping of the two actors, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel in Ozalla Town in Enugu State has led to many actors coming out to declare they are not rich.
Contrary to the flashy and lavish life they share online, actors are now all insisting that they’re not rich and that Nigerians have a misconception about their net worth.
Looking at how poshly Nollywood stars live, the kidnappers expected $100,000 to be raised in hours yet two days later the AGN is struggling to secure resources.
Speaking in an interview, Emeka Rollas, AGN President said that the kidnappers mocked actors when told the meagre sum that has been raised so far.
“Yesterday, while talking to the abd#ctors, We said that we had about N1.2 million. And they started laughing at us They started m@cking us and saying ‘all those your celebrities posting on Instagram, how much have they contributed?
“Immediately, it got to me that these people are watching us. It is not the best time to circulate this information on Instagram,” he said.
Nigerians reacted that those rich Instagram babes especially Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo and others should be contacted to quickly pay the ransom.
“All the likes of Tonto, Iyabo Ojo etc. all of them buying prados every week should sell some off to raise the fund,” one fan wrote.
At the rate of the money being raised it seems unfortunate but those two actors might remain kidnapped for a long time!
