Who was Gregory Little Jr? Man Shot and Killed Following Altercation Outside Lincoln Bar

Gregory Little Jr, 32, has been identified as the victim of a shooting outside a bar in Lincoln, Nebraska that claimed the life of one person.

A shooting occurred early Sunday morning outside the Royal Hookah Bar and Lounge near 16th and O streets in Lincoln.

Police were called to the venue around 3 a.m. with reports of a shooting and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived.

The 32-year-old man was taken to a hospital where he died.

Whilst the Lincoln Police Department are yet to release the identity of the person, his family identified him as Gregory Little Jr.

His brother, John Scott Davenport II spoke to KLKN Channel 8 TV to confirm his sibling’s passing.

According to Davenport, his phone was buzzing early Sunday with phone calls from people telling him his brother had been shot.

“I was trying to figure out what happened,” Davenport said. “So I went to his house to see if he was home, and no one was there.”

He said when he got to his brother’s son, his nephew told him there was a fight at a bar leading to the shooting.

“One of the security guards thought he had a gun on him and shot him four times in his chest,” Davenport said.

“I grew up with him my whole life,” he said.

“I know two people in this world, my daughter and him, the most. He’s like one of the biggest teddy bears to me.”

In a post on Facebook, 89Block News revealed more details about Little, including sharing a photograph.

According to the page, “Mr Little moved to Lincoln, NE, and started a soul food business in August 2022.

“Little named the business Lula Mae’s Kitchen after the passing of his grandmother Ms. Lula Mae Little,” they added.
