EFFC is Meant to Clamp Igbos, Ask Buhari’s Son How he Got His Money – Furious Fan Reacts to Cubana Chief Priest Arrest

A furious social media user called out the EFCC for only arresting influential Igbos in Nigeria following the arrest of Cubana Chief Priest.

The EFCC arrested popular socialite Pascal Okechukwu aka Cubana Chief Priest on Wednesday, March 30th 2022.

EFCC operatives picked him up at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

“We have a popular Instagram socialite in our custody in Abuja. He is known as Cubana Chief Priest. He was arrested on Wednesday, in Abuja on his way to Owerri,” a source told Premium Times Nigeria.

Cubana Chief Priest’s last public appearance was at the FIFA World Cup Qualifier on 29th March between the Super Eagles and Ghana’s Black Stars.

EFCC arrested him the next day over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

Operatives monitored him at the Moshood Abiola Stadium during the match and picked him up at the Airport when he was going to fly out.

“Our officers, led by an investigator in charge of the matter, had sent a team to the national stadium in Abuja where he was alongside his friends. His activities were carefully monitored.” the source continued.

“We received information after the football match that Mr Cubana Chief Priest would be flying out of the FCT. We picked him up from there at the airport,”

Cubana Chief Priest reportedly turned down several EFCC invites which led to the operation to arrest him.

A furious fan called out the EFCC as a tribal weapon following the arrest of Cubana Chief Priest.

The fan claimed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is a weapon to target Igbos.

The EFCC is still dealing with another rich and popular Igbo socialite, Obi Cubana.

The fan wrote: “You people want to ruin the lives of the Igbos, Can you ask Buhari’s son how he get the money to build hotels and mansions, Ganduje family and others where they get their monies. So EFCC is meant to clamp on the Igbos?”
