Dyland Chaves, 31, has been identified as the driver who was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Route 128 South in Needham, Massachusetts.
Chaves, of Fiskdale, was killed in the crash that involved two pickups near Exit 33 in Needham that left the driver of the other truck seriously injured.
State police said at about 4:40 a.m., one of the pickups went out of control and was perpendicular to oncoming traffic and was then broadsided by the second truck.
The driver of that truck, Chaves, was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the second truck, a 54-year-old Nashua, New Hampshire, man, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
According to Massachusetts State Police, lighting conditions were dark, it was raining and the road surface was wet at the time of the crash.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing and the 2nd driver is yet to be identified.
