Beyonce new album, Renaissance, just dropped, once again confirming the Queen Bey as the greatest of a generation and one of the greatest of all time.

The new album from Beyonce arrived in the wee hours of Friday, July 29th 2022.

Renaissance had long been pigeon-holed for that date but hit a snag on Wednesday, July 27th 2022 when it leaked on social media!

Despite that, it was released without a glitch on its chosen date.

Beyonce Renaissance is the 7th studio album from American R&B and pop singer Beyonce Knowles, released July 29th 2022.

The album was released by Columbia Records in conjunction with Parkwood entertainment.

According to reports, it’s the first in a three-act project from the 40-year-old.

Like most other Beyonce albums, it’s likely to smash a lot of records in the days and weeks to come despite the fact it leaked before release.

Before its release, Beyonce revealed the album was born in the difficult era of COVID and expantiated on what that meant to her.

“This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative,” she wrote in a note on her official website.

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.” she added.

Beyonce’s new album Renaissance hit the internet on Wednesday, July 27th 2022, two days before its official release.

Variety reported Wednesday that high-quality flac files of the album could be found online.

Fan comments also showed CD copies of the album for sale, apparently in Europe.

Beyonce addressed the leak when speaking following the album’s release.

“So, the album leaked, and you all actually waited until the proper release time so you all can enjoy it together. I’ve never seen anything like it. I cant thank yall enough for your love and protection,” she said.

The Queen added: “I appreciate you for calling out anyone that was trying to sneak into the club early. It means the world to me, Thank you for your unwavering support. Thank you for being patient.

“We are going to take out time and enjoy the music. I will continue to give my all and do my best to bring you joy. I love you deep,”

Beyonce Kelis

Beyonce new album Renaissance was hit with controversy after American singer Kelis accused her of sampling one of her songs for the album without permission.

Kelis claims Beyonce sampled her 2003 song Milkshake in Energy off Renaissance without informing her.

“My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding,” she wrote on Instagram

“I heard about this the same way everyone else did.Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.” Kelis fired.

“Not only are we black female artists in an industry where there’s not that many of us, we’ve met each other, we know each other, we have mutual friends. It’s not that hard to contact [me], It’s just common decency … even if you’re gonna do it anyway,” she added.

Kelis added her real beef is with Pharell, the composer of the song, because she knows he’s the one who would steal her song without permission due to prior issues between them.

Kelis accused Beyonce of stealing a sample for the song Energy on her new album from her song Milkshake.

Energy is the 5th song on the Renaissance tracklist and features Jamaican rapper Beam, written by Tyshane Thompson, Sonny Moore, Almando Cresso, Jordan Douglas, Tizita Makuria, Andrews, Coney, Nash, Brockert, McGrier, Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, Adam Pigott, and Freddie Ross.
