Aryan Joshi, Sriya Avasarala and Anvi Sharma – Who were the 3 Teens Killed In Alpharetta Crash?

Three 18-year-olds died after a one-vehicle crash in Alpharetta Tuesday night that also left two others injured.

The crash happened on a bend in the road along Westside Parkway between Maxwell Road and Hembree Road when their overspeeding car flipped over.

The victims were identified Wednesday as Alpharetta High School Senior Aryan Joshi, as well as UGA freshmen Sriya Avasarala, and Anvi Sharma – all 18 years old.

Two other people survived the accident and are currently hospitalized with an unknown degree of injuries – identified as Rithwak Somepalli and Mohammed Liyakath.

Of the deceased, Joshi and Avasarala died from their injuries on the scene while Anvi Sharma later died in the hospital.

According to reports, Rithwak was the driver of the vehicle.

Aryan Joshi was a senior at Alpharetta High School, according to school Principal Mike Scheifflee.

He sent out an email to teachers and staff that read: “It greatly saddens me to inform you of the death of senior Aryna Joshi…Aryna will be deeply missed.”

Meanwhile, Sriya and Anvi are both freshmen at the University of Georgia.

A section of the street was closed until about 2 a.m. as crews reconstructed the accident scene as part of their investigation.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident but have identified speed as a factor in the crash.
